Anina Marais

Anina, a dedicated legal professional, joined Birmans Inc in January 2017, marking the beginning of an impressive journey within the firm. With a wealth of experience and expertise, she has progressed to being appointed in the role of Director on 1 March 2023, a testament to her commitment and outstanding contributions.

Anina’s legal journey began with her earning a B.A Law degree in 2007 and subsequently obtaining her LLB degree in 2009 from Northwest University- Potchefstroom. Her dedication to the legal field led to her admission as an attorney of the High Court in 2012, and she also holds Right of Appearance in the High Court. Anina completed the Family Law Mediation training in 2018.

She demonstrates exemplary skills in litigation and upholds the highest standards of legal excellence.

Currently, Anina heads critical departments within the firm, including High Court Litigation, High Court Correspondent, and Family Law. Her responsibilities extend to overseeing complex legal matters, ranging from contractual disputes and claims to enforcement claims and interdictory applications. Anina is a key figure in shaping the firm’s legal strategy and ensuring the highest standards of legal representation.
