Gideon began his career with the former partnership of Birman, Boshoff & Coetzee in 1983 as an article clerk. After completing his articles, he was appointed as a professional assistant in 1985 and became a partner the following year under the new name Birman, Boshoff & du Plessis.

When the firm was incorporated as a professional company in 2013, Gideon was appointed as a Director of Birmans Incorporated. He currently heads the Commercial, Conveyancing, Deceases Estates  and Real Estate Department, where he oversees:

• Transfers of immovable property
• Registration of mortgage and notarial bonds
• Servitudes
• Antenuptial contracts and other notarial documents

In addition to conveyancing, Gideon has extensive experience in:

• Drafting commercial agreements
• Personal injury and medical negligence claims, and both directors work in conjunction in the Third Party Claims department.
• Trust law
• Mining law
• Commercial law

Gideon holds a B.Proc degree from the University of Pretoria (1982) and was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 1985. His dedication, experience, and comprehensive legal expertise have made him a trusted advisor to clients in both the private and corporate sectors..
